ITF-14 Barcode Generator

The ITF-14 code goes on cartons and pallets. The first digit is a packaging indicator: it tells a carton of a product apart from a pallet of the same product. Next comes the item number, and the last digit is a check digit.

Thick black bars frame the code on both edges. The frame is not decoration: printing on corrugated cardboard blurs, and without the frame a scanner often reads the code only partway. The tool draws the frame on its own.

The module of a logistics code is set larger than that of a retail one: the label is read from a distance and often at an angle.
