EAN-13 Barcode Generator

A barcode for retail goods: you enter twelve digits, and we calculate the thirteenth.

EAN-13 is the barcode scanned at the checkout. Its thirteen digits split into three parts: the first two or three identify the national numbering organization that issued the code, the next group refers to the company, and the rest to the product itself. The last digit is a check digit.

The prefix does not tell you where the product was made, only where the number owner is registered: a product with the 460–469 prefix can be manufactured anywhere. To sell through retail chains, you get a number from GS1; for internal use in your own records, any number works.
