Crop Photo to 4×6
Cuts a photo to a 4×6 ratio, as on documents or 10 × 15 prints. The frame holds its shape; you choose what stays in the picture.
Outside the circle the photo becomes transparent, so the file is saved as PNG or WebP.
Frame on the photo
Result
Drop in a photo: the frame on it already has a 4 to 6 ratio, which is 2:3. Drag the frame and pull its corner to choose what stays in the shot.
Centimeters and inches
"4 by 6" comes in two varieties, and both share the same ratio. A 4 × 6 cm photo is used for documents: for printing at 300 dots per inch, you need an image of 472 × 709 pixels. A 4 × 6 inch print is the familiar 10 × 15 cm photograph, which calls for 1200 × 1800 pixels. To set an exact size, use the crop to size tool. Requirements for a photo submitted with a specific document are checked with the office that receives it.
