QR Code Scanner

The scanner reads a QR code from an image or your camera and decodes its contents on the spot. Drag a file into the field, pick it from your disk, or paste a screenshot with Ctrl + V. Checking a link for tampering

Pasting a fake code over a real one is a trick you meet in everyday life: on a parking meter, on a receipt, on a cafe table. The web address can look familiar at the same time.

That is why the domain is displayed in plain characters even when it is written in punycode, and mixed alphabets in the name are flagged separately: in “сбербaнк.рф” a single letter may be Latin, and that already makes it a different site. The link never opens by itself: you go there only by clicking.

If the code will not read

The tool tries several passes: as is, scaled up, with boosted contrast, and inverted, since a light code on a dark background is common. This does not always help: a badly blurred or cropped code cannot be recovered, and reshooting is the better option.

When one image holds several codes, all of them are read at once, and each find is outlined with a frame on the image.
