Rotate Image 45 Degrees
Rotates a photo by 45° on the diagonal without cropping; the corners are filled with white, a custom color, or a transparent background.

What happens to the size
A rectangle rotated by 45° is wider and taller than the original, so the picture grows: a 1000 × 1000 square becomes 1414 × 1414. The edges of the photo stay intact, and the four empty triangles in the corners get filled with a background of your choice: white, black, a custom color, or transparent. With a transparent background the file is saved as PNG, and the rotated picture sits as a diamond on any layer in a layout or collage.
