Text to Hieroglyphs

Swaps Russian and English letters for look-alike hieroglyphs, with three character sets and one-click copying.

The tool replaces letters with hieroglyphs that look similar: «Привет» becomes «冂尸仈乃乇丅». It does not translate anything into Chinese or Japanese. You still read the text letter by letter, while a Chinese reader sees a random set of characters. The output is plain text, so you can paste it into a nickname, status, or message.

Three character sets

The "Readable" set is built from hieroglyphs that resemble letters most closely. In the "With Japanese syllabary" set, some letters are written with hiragana and katakana signs: «ち» instead of Б, «ろ» instead of З. The "Dense" set uses more complex characters: the text looks more like real hieroglyphs and becomes harder to read.

What stays unchanged

Hieroglyphs have no capital forms, so «А» and «а» produce the same sign. Digits, punctuation marks, and emoji stay as they are. The sets contain only hieroglyphs and the Japanese syllabary, and fonts for both are available on phones and in Windows.
