Stop words and words shorter than three letters never make the list; they always sit on top and say nothing about the text.
The result updates as you type. Characters without spaces and the number of thousands are shown separately: copywriters usually quote their rate in those units.
Compare your length against the limits of the platforms: page title and description, a post on X, a post and a photo caption on Telegram, an Instagram caption, an SMS. A plain-Latin SMS fits 160 characters; once an emoji or a non-Latin letter appears, the limit drops to 70. You can see right away whether the text fits.
A frequency list is built from the text, showing which words have overstayed their welcome. Function words in English and Russian stay off the list.
Reading time is given twice: silently and aloud. The silent rate is 238 words per minute and the read-aloud rate is 183, average figures for English text, and a script or a voiceover needs the second one.
Double spaces, a space before a comma, and similar typing slips are flagged along the way.
