Remove Numbers from Text

Removes single digits or whole numbers from text along with their inner separators: fractions, dates, and phone numbers, with traces cleaned up.

What to remove

Paste your text or upload a file and choose what to remove: individual digits or whole numbers. The result is calculated at once, and you can copy it or download it as a file.

Whole numbers

Removing digits alone leaves debris behind: "1,234.56" keeps the comma and the period, a date like "03.09.2026" keeps two dots, a phone number keeps the plus sign and the hyphens. In the "Whole numbers" mode a number goes away together with the separators inside it, so the text stays readable. A separator counts as part of a number only when digits stand on both sides of it: the comma in "word, 5" stays where it was.

Cleanup behind

With the checkbox on, double spaces collapse, a space before a comma goes away, and a line that has nothing left of it is dropped entirely. Repeated punctuation created by the removal also disappears: "call 8-916. now" turns into "call now." An ellipsis and three exclamation marks from the original text survive untouched, because they are checked against the source line.
