Counts punctuation marks in text by type: commas, periods, dashes, five kinds of quotes and brackets, with shares and CSV export.

Paste your text or upload a file, and the tool will count punctuation marks: the total, the count for each type, the share of the whole text, and how many marks fall per 1000 characters and per sentence.
What is left out of the total
The number sign, paragraph, slash, percent, and other service characters are counted in a separate block: they do not count as punctuation marks, but you may still need their numbers.
The share is calculated against all characters of the text. Letters are not counted as service characters, so the percentages are not inflated.
