ZIP Archiver
Build a ZIP from files and folders, with a password.
Drag files or folders here
Files never leave your device: the archive is built right in the browser. There is no size limit — files are read in chunks, not loaded into memory whole.
What goes into the archive
Settings
By default no time is spent on what is already compressed: photos, videos, music and nested archives are stored as is. If compression would inflate a file, that file is stored without compression too.
Archive built
SHA-256:
ZIP Archiver builds ZIP archives from files and folders: you can set a password, keep the folder structure, and check the checksum of the finished archive.
No size limit
Files are read in chunks rather than loaded into memory all at once, so the archiver can pack a folder of several gigabytes. There is no limit on the size of the archive.
Default compression
Photos, videos, music, and nested archives are already compressed, so compressing them a second time spends time for no gain. In the default mode such files are stored as they are. If compressing a file unexpectedly makes it larger, that file is stored without compression too: there is no reason to keep a piece in the archive that is bigger than the original.
