ISO Extractor

Open an ISO image and pull out files: browse, search, ZIP, boot records.

Drag your ISO image here

The image is not sent anywhere and is not read into memory as a whole: the page parses it straight from your disk, so even an image of tens of gigabytes opens.

The tool opens an ISO image and pulls files out of it, with no mounting, no burning to disc, and no software to install. You can download a single file, a folder as an archive, or extract the whole image.

Which images can be read

All four name tables found in ISO images are supported: strict ISO9660, Joliet with long file names, Rock Ridge from Linux images, and UDF, which is how Windows images are built when the setup file is larger than 4 GB. The tool picks the most complete table on its own and tells you which one it used.

Preview without extracting

Text files and images up to 5 MB open right on the page, so checking a readme or making sure you have the right image takes no extraction at all. Search by name finds a file in any folder of the image.

Boot records

For a bootable disc, the tool shows the El Torito catalog: which image it boots from and for which firmware, BIOS or UEFI. The boot image itself is saved as a separate .img file. The length of a BIOS image is taken from the boot table when it is filled in; in catalogs, four sectors almost always sit in its place.
