Straighten Image

Straightens a tilted shot: draw a line along the horizon or a wall edge, and the photo rotates and crops away the empty corners.

Drop photos here or click to select โ€” up to 50 files at once JPG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC from your phone. Photos are processed in your browser and never leave your device.

Drag a line along the horizon, a table edge or a wall in the photo, and the angle is picked for you. You can fine-tune it with the slider. Each photo gets its own angle.

Drop your photos into the form and drag a line along something that should be level: the horizon, the edge of a table, a wall, or a pole. The angle is calculated automatically, and you can fine-tune it by a tenth of a degree with the slider.

How it works

  • Almost horizontal lines are made exactly horizontal, and almost vertical lines exactly vertical.
  • You draw the line on the already rotated photo, so a small error can be fixed with a second pass.
  • Each photo gets its own angle: switch to another photo in the list and straighten it separately.
  • A grid overlay helps you check the result by eye, and it never appears in the output file.

Why the photo gets smaller

After rotation, empty triangles appear at the corners. The tool crops them away, keeping the largest rectangle with the same proportions as the original. The larger the angle, the heavier the crop: a 2ยฐ rotation loses a few percent around the edges, while 10ยฐ loses noticeably more.
