Random Date Generator

Generates random dates and times in a range: weekdays and hours, time zones with daylight saving, birthdates by age, and ISO 8601, SQL, and Unix formats.

How dates are chosen

Both ends of the range are included in the draw, and every date or second comes up equally often. The numbers come from the browser's cryptographic generator.

With the "no repeats" option turned on, all values in the list are different. If there are fewer distinct values than you asked for, the generator tells you the exact number: for example, weekdays in September 2024 give only 21 dates.

Time zones and daylight saving time

Unix time and ISO 8601 output depend on the time zone: midnight in Moscow and midnight in Berlin fall on different moments. Daylight saving transitions are accounted for. In spring, the hour from 02:00 to 03:00 in Berlin never happens and never appears in the list. In fall that hour occurs twice, and in ISO 8601 output it shows up twice, with the old and the new offset.

You can also set a time of day that crosses midnight, for example from 22:00 to 06:00.

Dates of birth

This mode returns dates for a person who turns between the given minimum and maximum age, inclusive, today. For someone born on February 29, the birthday in a non-leap year counts from March 1.
