Whois Lookup

Is a domain free? Who is the registrar, key dates and DNS servers — straight from the registries.

You can include https:// and www — we strip the extras ourselves. Cyrillic domains (сайт.рф) and IP addresses are understood.

For each domain — taken or free, registrar and dates. We query each zone's registry no more than once per second, so a large list of domains from one zone takes a couple of minutes.

The tool queries the registries directly over the whois protocol, with no third-party APIs or go-betweens. The response is parsed into a card: registrar, registration and expiration dates, DNS servers, and domain statuses with plain-language explanations. The raw server responses are shown alongside.

When a registry has no record for a name, the domain is available and can be registered. If a record exists, you can see the date it is paid through and which statuses are set on it, such as a transfer lock.

Registrars usually hide the contacts of private owners: in their place there is a privacy notice or the registrar's own details. This is a limitation of the registries themselves, not of the lookup. Domains registered to organizations tend to expose more information.

Some registries, including .com and .net, store only the registrar's name. In that case the tool sends a second query to the registrar's whois server and pulls the full data from there.

Besides domains, the tool accepts IP addresses: for those, the answer comes from a regional internet registry, such as RIPE or ARIN. Cyrillic domains are converted to punycode before the query, and zones with their own rules are queried the way those rules require.

You can check up to 100 domains at a time and export the results to CSV, so one pass shows which of your domains runs out of payment first.
