IP Lookup

Everything about an address: country and city, the network with its number and owner, the range, the reverse name and an abuse contact.

IPv4 and IPv6 are both understood. If you enter a domain, we show data for its address.

Enter an IPv4 or IPv6 address. If you enter a domain name, the tool resolves it to an address first. For the address it shows the country and city where the network is registered, the network itself with its number and owner, its range, the reverse name, and the contact for reporting abuse from this address.

The data comes from public address registries and DNS. The full registry record for an address is shown by IP whois.

Spam list checks

The address is checked against open blocklists: Spamhaus, Barracuda, and DroneBL. These are databases of addresses seen sending spam or found infected. Mail servers use them to decide whether to accept or reject a message.

For a mail server this is the first thing to know: once an address is listed, its mail stops getting through until the listing is removed. For an ordinary address, a listing means someone has been abusing it.

Address type

The tool distinguishes public addresses from technical ones. Private networks such as 192.168.x, the loopback 127.0.0.1, and carrier-grade NAT addresses are not reachable from the internet, so they have no country, network, or spam listings, and the tool says so right away.

Nearby there is a check for a specific site's address: find a website's IP address by domain shows all of its addresses and whether each one is live.
