Passphrase Generator
A password made of random words: easier to remember than a string of characters, and slower to crack.
Settings
Latin letters mean the same Russian words spelled with Latin characters. The phrase stays Russian and easy to remember in Russian, but you can type it where Cyrillic is not accepted.
Strength
Built from:
Time to crack:
A phrase made of several random words is easier to remember than a string of characters, and it takes much longer to crack.
Why words instead of characters
A password like K7#mQ2vX ends up written on paper or reused across every site. A six-word phrase sticks in your head after typing it a few times, and it is thousands of times stronger than an eight-character password of letters, digits, and symbols.
Cracking time is given for three scenarios: a single GPU, a farm of thousands of GPUs, and brute force through a login form. The same numbers appear in the password generator, so you can compare the two directly.
Words never repeat inside a phrase, and the strength estimate already accounts for that.
