A reload does not reset the timer

The start moment is stored in the browser. If you refresh the tab or the browser unloads it from memory, the stopwatch continues from the same point: the elapsed time adds whatever has passed on your device clock. Laps stay in place.

Laps

The "Lap" button records the lap time and the total time since the start. The best and worst laps are marked in the list, with the average next to them. You can copy the list and paste it into a spreadsheet or your notes.

A signal at fixed intervals

Enter a number of seconds in the "Beep every" field, and the page plays a short sound after each interval. This works well for interval training or for keeping track of a talk without watching the screen. If the page was in a background tab and several intervals passed, the sound plays once.

Keyboard shortcuts and full screen

• Space: start and pause
• L: lap
• R: reset
• F: full screen

In full screen only the digits and buttons remain, everything else is hidden: you can read the stopwatch from across the room.

When you need two timers, the dual stopwatch stands next to it: one button starts both, and the difference between them is shown.
