Settings sites can see
Everything shown above is reported by your browser to every site it visits: nothing here asks you for input. The page works entirely on its own.
The version and the engine are listed separately for a reason. What a browser can do depends on its engine, not its name: Chrome, Edge, and Opera are all built on Blink and behave almost identically, and every browser on an iPhone runs WebKit under the hood, whatever it calls itself.
The age of your version is estimated from the release schedule, not from a request to the browser's developers. That makes the number approximate, and the tool only warns you to update when the gap reaches four full versions, or roughly four months without updates. For browsers without a steady release cycle, freshness is not rated at all: staying silent is more honest than guessing.
The list of supported features answers the question that usually brings people here: why does a site look different from how it was designed? If you don't have AVIF or the :has() selector, images won't load and the layout will break — and only you will see it that way.
Screen size and window size are shown separately. Media queries look at the width of the window, not the screen, so a wide monitor with a narrow browser window will show the mobile layout. That is not a bug.
The device type comes from the user agent string, and that string is easy to spoof: any browser can pretend to be another one. Everything else on the page is measured for real.
