Internet Speed Test

Measures download speed, upload speed and ping. Works on a computer and a phone, with nothing to install.

How to get an accurate reading

The test measures three values. Download speed decides how fast pages open and how fast video loads. Upload speed matters for video calls and file uploads. Ping shows the delay to the server, and games and conversations depend on it.

For ordinary web browsing, download is what counts. If calls stutter while pages still open quickly, look at upload and ping instead.

Why the result is lower than your plan

Your plan states the top capacity of the channel, not a promised speed. The test runs to one specific server through your router and home network, so some loss adds up along every part of the route.

A difference of a few percentage points is normal. Contact your provider when the result stays several times lower than the plan.

What the test will not show

The test describes the channel to that server at the moment of checking. It does not measure any particular site's speed: when one resource loads slowly while the rest load fast, the problem is with that resource, not with your connection.
