PDF to JSON
Extracts text from a PDF page by page and writes it out as JSON. The file is read right in your browser.
Open a PDF file or drag it into the field. The output gives you the number of pages and the text of each page as a separate field, so you can parse the pages further in your own code.
What to expect
Scanned PDFs contain a picture, not text, and this page does no recognition: a file without a text layer will come back as a scan. Encrypted PDFs cannot be read. Page layout is not stored in a PDF either: a table on a sheet is just lines of text placed by coordinates, so in the JSON it appears as page text.
