Visual HTML Editor

You type as in a text editor and get ready-made HTML. A second window with the code, live sync, and cleanup of the messy markup Word leaves behind.

Clean up code ?

The main work starts after you paste text from Word or another editor. The markup comes along with the text: fonts, indents, and service classes that make paragraphs on the site look different from the rest of the page.

Cleanup handles this point by point, and each option works on its own: strip style, strip class and id, unwrap empty span, remove empty tags, replace b and i with strong and em, turn non-breaking spaces back into regular ones, and cut out comments.

Every change shows on both sides at once, so you can take the code and edit it by hand, then see the result right away.

Below the code sits a counter: how many characters are in the code, how many tags, and how much plain text is left without markup. It shows when someone pasted a kilobyte of markup for the sake of two paragraphs.

You take the result away in three ways: copy the code, download an .html file, or drag the text straight out of the window.
