Enter a date and get it in Roman numerals. The tool understands several formats: 19.09.2026, 19/09/2026, 2026-09-19, and “September 19, 2026”. Below the answer, the tool shows how it read your date, so an ambiguous input like 03.04.2026 never stays a mystery.
The year runs from 1 to 3999
Roman numerals have no zero and no negative numbers, and the standard notation stops at 3999: beyond that, the Romans drew a line above the symbol to mean multiplication by a thousand. You cannot type that line with ordinary letters, so instead of four M's in a row the page tells you in words where the boundary lies.
Reverse conversion and an image
The second tab reads a Roman date and returns the ordinary one. The notation is checked strictly: IIII and IC are rejected with the exact spot named, not accepted silently. You can also download the finished date as a PNG image with a transparent background, ready for a tattoo sketch or an invitation.
