The tool expands a template into a set of varied phrases. You mark the spots where words vary, and the generator walks through the combinations.

How to write a template

• curly braces pick one option out of several: {buy|order};
• square brackets take all options at once, in random order, separated by spaces: [fast|cheap];
• a custom separator goes between plus signs at the start: [+, +fast|cheap] places a comma between the words;
• brackets nest inside each other: {buy a {house|apartment}|rent a home}.

The syntax is the same one most generators use, so ready-made templates carry over here without rework.

How many variations you get

The number of combinations is counted before generation, so you can see in advance whether the template covers the amount of phrases you need. There are no repeats in the output: with few combinations they are walked through in order, and with many the options are picked at random, skipping the ones already produced.

One run produces up to 500 phrases. A template can be up to 20,000 characters long, with brackets nested up to twelve levels deep.
